World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

♥️ With One Week Left, Te Oneone Leads, but It’s Anyone’s Race!

The fundraising race for the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge is heating up, and Te Oneone is leading the charge with a massive $654—ka rawe, Red House! Hot on their heels is Te Awa, making big waves with $431, followed by Te Maunga, steadily climbing to $247. Te Ngahere has shown solid growth with $178, and Te Ra is shining with $146. It’s awesome to see such strong efforts across the board, but there’s still time for Te Ngahere and Te Ra to rally and push even higher—every dollar truly counts. Let’s keep the momentum going, support our houses, and finish strong! 💪🏽❤️💙💚💛🤍

$1000 Raised!

CSC has reached a major milestone, raising over $1000 in the lead-up to the 40 Hour Challenge.

Way to go, keep up the great work everyone!

🧡 Holly's Visit 2025 🧡

CSC was so fortunate to have Holly, a World Vision Youth Ambassador here at school, on Thursday the 29th of March. Her presentation was super engaging and extremely helpful for all.

Thanks a bunch, Holly!

🔥 Te Oneone’s on Fire – Can the Other Houses Catch Up?

Our school’s house fundraising effort is in full swing, and we’re so proud of the amazing contributions so far! A huge shoutout to Te Oneone, currently leading with an impressive $463 raised! Te Awa follows with a strong $231, while Te Ngahere and Te Ra have raised $45 and $31 respectively. Let’s rally behind Te Maunga, who are yet to get on the board—every dollar counts!

Thank you all for your support, let’s keep the momentum going and see which house will come out on top! 💪🏽❤️

Let’s Go Te Oneone!

How is CSC spending the 40 Hours?

As part of the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge, CSC students are stepping up in creative and meaningful ways to support this awesome cause. From solo tramps and camping adventures to sleepovers with friends, they're embracing the outdoors and community spirit. Many are pushing their limits through fitness challenges like biking, running, and walking, while others are choosing quieter moments like reading, painting, baking, gardening, or photography. Whether it's spending time with loved ones, caring for animals, or simply chilling with friends, each student is contributing in their own way to make a difference.

🌿 Te Ngahere Branches Out on Top!

With just under a month to go in the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge, one house is already reaching skyward — and that’s Te Ngahere, leading the way with $45 raised so far! 🌳

Not far behind is Te Awa, flowing in at $30, and Te Ra, shining with $26. It’s a slow and steady start — and that’s totally okay! This fundraiser isn’t about big numbers right away; it’s about doing what we can, together, to support communities in need.

A special shout-out to those in Te Ngahere who’ve already stepped up — your efforts are planting the seeds of real change. 💚

As for Te Maunga and Te Oneone... we see you 👀. Currently sitting at a peaceful $0, but hey — even the tallest peaks and strongest soils start with small steps. Your moment is coming.

Whether you're donating, fundraising, or simply spreading the word, every bit helps. And remember: not everyone is in a position to give financially — and that’s okay. Supporting each other, getting involved in creative ways, and standing in solidarity all matter too.

Let’s keep the spirit growing, whānau. The challenge continues, and there’s still plenty of time for every house to rise. 🌱

Te Ngahere! Mighty, Mighty Green House!

Te Oneone Takes The Lead!

30 Student Sign Ups and Counting!

CSC currently has 30 students signed up internally to take on the challenge - they'll be creating their WV40HC accounts over the coming days.

First Donation Is In!

Well done to Izak for securing CSC’s first donation. Way to go!

CSC Students Embark on 40 Hour Challenge!

Over the coming weeks, the Central Southland College Student Volunteer Army will be collating sign-ups from students interested in taking part. We've already had a great uptake from our SVA members that we have invited to get involved so far and the wider school will be emailed the sign-up form after assembly on Tuesday.
