Churches

This is what loving your neighbours looks like.

REGISTER YOUR CHURCH FOR THE CHALLENGE

The World Vision 40 Hour Challenge is a powerful way for your young people to live out biblical justice, expressing God's heart for those facing hardship. When we pursue justice, we reflect God's character, and others see God at work within us.

From 8pm Friday 19th June to 12pm Sunday 21st June, your
rangatahi can go offline for 40 hours while raising funds so children in Solomon Islands get food for today and hope for tomorrow. We support you as you disciple for the next generation.

Your
rangatahi get to learn that faith is about action and showing up for our neighbours. More so that God's heart breaks for injustice and that they can be part of His restorative work in the world.

Faith in action

ground your group in truth

Use our 4-week resource guide designed to help rangatahi explore biblical perspectives on justice and compassion. Topics include:

  • What is justice and why does God care?
  • How do we respond to poverty and need
  • Walking alongside communities (not as saviours)
  • Faith without action (James 2:14-17)

Connect with a Youth Ambassador

Book a Youth Ambassador to speak at your church or youth group. These talks help rangatahi understand the realities facing children in Solomon Islands and see how their participation creates lasting change. Hearing directly from someone their own age makes the impact real and shows how faith can be lived out in practical, hopeful ways.

plan your challenge weekend

Going offline together builds community, creates space for spiritual formation, and shows your young people they're part of God's bigger story of restoration. Make it a shared experience and gather your youth group for the challenge weekend. Need support in helping your rangatahi figure out what to do for their challenge? Let us know.

Invite Your Congregation

Run a World Vision 40 Hour Challenge-themed service. Invite your young people to lead worship, share why they're taking part, and invite the wider congregation to support them through prayer and generosity. This models intergenerational partnership and shows rangatahi that their faith community believes in their ability to create change.

Walking Alongside Families in Solomon Islands

Guided by compassion and faith, we walk alongside families - supporting practical action as they care for their children and look ahead with hope. Through the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge, rangatahi help provide:

  • Seeds and farming tools for families to feed their children despite rising seas and unpredictable crops.
  • Training on climate-smart agriculture so communities can grow nutritious food for years to come.
  • Protection for gardens and fishing areas so children can count on food today and in the future.

This is the love of Christ made visible - standing with communities, respecting their dignity and skills, and supporting solutions they're leading themselves.
