World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

Thank you for reading my fundraising page. Here is what this is all about for me. 

I’m doing the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge to provide kids with food for today so they have a brighter future for tomorrow. 

From 6pm Friday 20th June to 10am Sunday 15th June I will be going offline for 40 hours. This means I won't use any technology (including Alexa!) and I will try and use as little electricity as I can. I think it will be a hard challenge to do but I'm going to do my best and I know I can do it if I try hard enough. 

To keep busy while I am offline for the weekend, I am going to do lots of awesome things. I am going to bake lots of yummy goodies and give them away to people, I am going to read lots of books, I'm going to play basketball, I'm going to wash my dog, I'm going to play chess with Taylor, I'm going to play lots of board games and if I get REALLY bored I MIGHT tidy my wardrobe!! Maybe. Probably not. It's 50/50. Though more likely NOT. 

The reason the 40 hour challenge is important to me is because I feel super lucky that I always have enough food to eat and it makes me feel sad that some kids don't get enough food. I wish I could share some of my food with them so I'm going to do this challenge to raise money so they can all have plenty to eat. If you could sponsor me that would be absolutely amazing, you will be making such a difference to all those brilliant kids. You will be helping them so much. My goal is to hit $500 and maybe even more!! 

In the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kids are living in severe food poverty.  The money I raise will help families farm climate-smart crops and plant mangroves so they can feed their kids in a changing climate.
