World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
Hello!
This weekend, I’m doing the 40 Hour Challenge, and I won’t be eating for 40 hours straight.
Why? Because right now, 1 in 6 kids in the Pacific are living in severe food poverty.
That’s not just skipping meals, that’s not knowing when, or even if, they’ll get to eat at all.
I’m taking part to raise awareness and raise money to help families who are affected.
In remote Pacific communities, there aren’t supermarkets. For generations, families have relied on the land - fishing and farming for every meal. But with the climate changing, things are getting harder. Unpredictable weather is ruining crops, and fish are harder to catch: they’re fewer in number and swim much further from shore.
Every day is a struggle to get enough food.
I’m raising money to support these families through climate-smart farming and planting mangroves to protect their land.
- $28 can provide a vege garden for a family
- $42 can train someone to grow food sustainably
- $98 can give seeds and tools to help feed 50 families
Any donation, big or small, goes straight to supporting families who need it most.
I’ll be going without food by choice. They don’t get that choice.
Please donate if you can.
Thank you so much💛
Isla.
