World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
Hi everyone! I’m taking part in the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge to help families in the Solomon Islands access the seeds, tools and training they need to grow food in a changing climate. Right now, 1 in 6 children in the Pacific region are living in severe food poverty, and together we can help make a real difference for our neighbours in the Pacific.
At Central Hawkes Bay College, we are planning to take on a 24-hour “off the grid” challenge at school from the afternoon of June 20th to June 21st. For 24 hours, we will live in our school hall without power or phones and with only limited furniture available. We are hoping to involve over 100 students and raise more than $2,000, which would be the most money our school has ever fundraised for the 40 Hour Challenge!
Every donation, big or small, will help provide families with support so the people and children of the Solomon Islands can grow up healthy, happy and strong. Your support would mean so much to me and everyone taking part. Thank you for helping us create lasting change and maybe even consider taking part yourself!
