World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

I'm going hungry for 40 hours by choice, but imagine that being the norm for many of our neighbours in the Solomon Islands, an unfair struggle that they face every day.
I’m taking on the 40 Hour Challenge because it is deeply upsetting to me that-- in our own backyard -- 1 in 6 children are living in severe food poverty.

My goal is to raise $500, which would provide life-changing resources to help families in the Solomon Islands break this cycle for good through the power of education and nurturing food sustainability.

Every donation brings us closer to a future where no child goes to bed hungry. Here is exactly how your kindness can help:

  • $30: Can train a mother in nutrition, helping her children grow healthy and strong.
  • $43: Can train a person in climate-smart agriculture so they can grow their own food for years to come.
  • $98: Provides the seeds and tools families need to feed their children, even as the climate changes.
  • $178: Helps a young person start a business with their peers, giving them the skills and income to build a better life.
This challenge is so important to me because every child deserves a full belly and the chance to grow up strong. Together, the people in Aotearoa can be the generation that stands up for our Solomon Island families, supporting them to live happy, fulfilled and healthy lives, a right everyone should be entitled to.

Please, if you can, donate today. Your support means the world to me—and everything to a child in the Solomon Islands.

But don't stop there! Join me and many others across the country in our fight for fairness across the Solomon Islands by building your own World Vision page and coming up with your own challenges.

Thank you!
