World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

For the 2026 40 Hour Famine, I am doing the No‑Furniture Challenge. For 40 hours, I won’t use chairs, couches, beds, or any other furniture at home. I will sit, study, and sleep on the floor.

This does not include cars, because I still need to travel safely.

I am doing this to raise money and awareness to help fight severe food poverty in the Solomon Islands, where many families don’t have enough food each day. My challenge is a small way to show support and help make a difference.

My Updates

Thank You All

Monday 22nd Jun
Hi everyone,
I just wanted to say a massive thank you to all of you for your support. This challenge turned out to be a lot harder than I expected, but it was such a meaningful way to give up something that so many people around the world don’t have the luxury of having.
Thanks to your generosity, I reached my goal of $500. I completed my 40 hours yesterday; two nights sleeping on the floor and many hours sitting on my bedroom floor doing schoolwork. It definitely pushed me, but knowing I wasn’t doing it alone made all the difference.
Thank you again for helping me make an impact. I’m really grateful.
Blessings,
Beth
