Hello everyone,

My name is Carter Scott. I am fundraising for World Vision and the Solomon Islands. Your donation would help so much and I would be so happy. This is an amazing cause and I am so happy to support it. 

Last year at my old school, I was lucky enough to go to the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge Conference as a World Vision Ambassador. They explained all about the Solomon Islands and how they are struggling. They played a video and I saw the impact of the awful flooding and how they ended up with only really small grain supplies.

For my challenge last year, I went 40 hours without any technology or screen time. It was a hard challenge but I enjoyed it and it was great to complete it. I raised over $1000 for World Vision. This was way more than I ever expected to raise and I was super proud of this and super grateful to everyone who donated.

This year, for my 40 hour World Vision challenge, I am going to do 40 acts of kindness in 40 hours. I want to give back to the community and to all the lovely people who do good things for others and other lovely people in my life.

Some of the acts of kindness I am planning to do include:

Baking some yummy treats for the staff at my local SPCA centre

Hold the door open for people in shops

Shaking hands with the ref at my football game on Saturday and giving him a chocolate bar to say thank you for giving up his time to ref my game

Mow my neighbour’s lawn

Offer to help the staff at my local library

Join a local community tree planting event

Make my neighbour a coffee

Write a letter to my friend to tell them they are awesome

Make breakfast for my family
