I’m doing the 40 Hour Challenge and I need your help!

This year, I’ve decided to take on the 40 Hour Challenge to support kids in the Solomon Islands, where many families are struggling just to have enough food.
It really shocked me to learn that 1 in 6 kids in the pacific region is living in severe food poverty. That means they don’t have enough food to eat to meet basic human needs. Floods, droughts and damaged soil are affecting crops and the ability to fish, which many families depend on for food.
I want to help change that so I am doing a 40 hour ‘Back to Basics’ challenge.
For 40 hours, I’ll be going back to basics and living without any luxuries. That means no devices, no electricity, no modern vehicles and only 6 items of clothing.
People say that it will be hard, I don’t think it’s as hard as going hungry every day. The money I raise will go towards helping families grow stronger crops and plant mangroves, so they can have a better future.
If you can, please support my challenge by donating. Every little bit really does make a difference.
Thanks so much for helping me help others 🙏

Thursday 29th May
Thank you to everyone who has supported by donating. My original goal was $100 but because of YOU we have been able to reach $339 in less than 24 hours. Wow!!!!
I know that good work doesn’t always get recognised so that’s why I wanted to make sure that you ALL know how grateful I am that you made the time to read about food poverty in the Solomon Islands and took your support one step further by donating.
This is what team effort looks like! It’s so special to me that we have all come together as family, friends and supporters for this cause.
The challenge begins 8pm, on Friday 13 June. In my next update I will share with you how I am preparing ✍️🌍

So you see, EVERY donation counts towards a brighter future for families in the Solomon Islands. Together we can make a difference!

My Why
Wednesday 28th May
I signed up to this challenge because I want to help people less fortunate than me.
Extreme weather in the Solomon Islands have damaged farms and fishing areas. Because of this, many families do not have enough healthy food to eat every day. For kids, that means they go to bed hungry, feel tired all the time and sometimes get sick because they don’t have the right food to stay strong. A lot of kids find it hard to make the most of school or even play with their friends because they are so hungry.
The money raised will help families in the Solomon Islands to grow crops and mangroves so that they can produce more stable food sources.
Thank you for your time and consideration to help me help others.
Have a great day!
