World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
This year, me and my co-leader have organised for some of the Mount Maunganui College leaders and Year 13 students to participate in the 40 Hour Challenge as a group this weekend from Friday the 13th to Sunday the 15th. The challenge is for us to move a 20L bucket of water 40 times around the Mount working in small groups and rotating shifts. We will be doing this in 40 hours, and as a collective we would have transported the bucket 136km in 40 hours. The idea of the challenge is to raise money for children in the Solomon Islands, giving them food and a future. The money will go towards supporting people in the Solomon Islands with food, vege gardens, training in agriculture, farming tools and protecting themselves from the ever rising waters surrounding them. It is an incredible initiative, and every donation helps support a brighter future for these communities.
