World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

Offline for a short time, impact for a lifetime!

I'm raising funds so families in Solomon Islands can get the seeds, tools and skills they need to grow crops to feed their children in a changing climate.

This kaupapa matters because in the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kids are living in severe food poverty. Together, rangatahi in Aotearoa can help change that.

Your support would mean so much to me. Please donate today so kids in the Pacific get enough food to grow up healthy and strong.

Now’s the time to stand up and make a difference for our neighbours in the Pacific.

My Updates

Katabasis complete

Tuesday 23rd Jun
Sorry for the late update, I was rather exhausted after the journey and couldn't bring myself to do very much! The challenge has been completed! I am alive, well and very pleased with my fundraised amount. I have made a promise to myself that I won't participate in this again. Or if I do, don't do something so precarious and tiring.
Problem is I haven't taken a whole lot of photos on the journey. I'll be sure to post at least one sometime soon.
Thank you, and cheers!

Half done

Saturday 20th Jun
Made it from Maungatapere to Maunu and back! I can't wait for breakfast on Monday. The journey was made without incident, though a lot of drivers gave me funny looks. Wish me luck for next time, which will be just slightly less nice--I'll have had well over 24 hours with nothing but saliva and water in my mouth. This'll be fun!

Walking from Maungatapere to Maunu + Fasting

Wednesday 17th Jun
Me and my friend Zak V. will be walking from central Maungatapere to Maunu, about 7km once a day. I'll be making the journey back on foot likely alone, as Zak is affiliated with the local train model club and would spend some hours there. Oh, and we'll be fasting for all 40 hours.
