World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
I will run 40km in 40 hours - 1km every hour from Friday 4pm until Sunday 8am. Please sponsor me and maybe join me for a lap!
I'm raising funds so families in Solomon Islands can get the seeds, tools and skills they need to grow crops to feed their children in a changing climate.
This kaupapa matters because in the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kids are living in severe food poverty. Together, rangatahi in Aotearoa can help change that.

Wow guys! What started as a small challenge where I would be happy with a couple of sponsors or so has turned into a complete team effort where I have tripled my original goal of six hundred dollars. We have raised two thousand one hundred and twenty three dollars and are currently 10th in the country on the fundraising leaderboard. For people in the Solomon islands This will help give mothers nutrition education, give seeds and farming tools to help families grow their crops and even help a young person start a business and earn some income with their peers.The challenge proved to be much harder than originally anticipated. It was very challenging to wake up ten minutes to the hour every hour and run a kilometer but I managed to push through in the end. The hardest lap was probably around 3 o'clock on the second night. According to my parents I didn't understand why they woke me up and had completely forgotten about the purpose of the whole challenge. I ran most of the laps around my neighbourhood but we had to go to Cromwell for a Scout meeting so I did 5 or so there and one in Luggate on the way back. But to be completely honest I wouldn't have got past hour number ten if it wasn't for you guys.There were over 50 individuals and families who helped me push through by either sponsoring me, running laps with me, or even making videos of themselves running kilometers. On some of the laps there were over 15 people running with me, cheering me on and waking up the whole night. So thank you so much team for supporting me in this challenge. I truly think it is one of the coolest things I have ever done and I could not have done it without you guys.
