World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

I’m doing the 2025 World Vision 40 Hour Challenge to provide kids with food for today and a future tomorrow.

This year the 40 Hour Challenge participants are raising money for the people in the Solomon Islands, who are currently facing hardships due to climate change. These people rely on fishing and farming for all their food, but with the rising sea levels community gardens are flooding, killing crops and making fishing harder.

As part of this, from June 13th to June 15th, my challenge will be to address the issue of pollution in NZ by participating in a rubbish collection, where we will work towards picking up over 400 pieces of rubbish as a group.

Just $28 provides a family with a vege garden to grow their daily food, $42 helps educate a person on climate-smart agriculture to grow sustainable food for years to come and $98 gives seeds and farming tools so families can feed their children.

But that does not mean smaller contributions don’t make a difference! All the money donated helps create a better future for these people and the next generation.

Please donate to help these children and families get enough food and fight against climate change in the Solomon Islands.
