Hi Hollie I visited the Solomon Islands a few years ago. Imagine tiny islands that are too small to be noticed by the outside world, where there's few opportunities to find a job,. Most of the land is steep, jungled forests, so it's hard to grow crops. And the government doesn't have enough money to build proper roads, there's no mail service. Oh, and if anything breaks, like your phone or laptop, it's going to be really, really expensive to fix or to buy a new one... if you can find one. The Solomon Islanders will be very grateful for your fundraising.
