World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

I'm going to be writing 14,000 words in 40 hours.

That's right.

14,000...

This year, I'm taking part in the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge to raise money for families in the Solomon Islands. I'm doing something really unique- I'm going to be writing 14,000 words in 40 hours- that's 14,000 words all compiled into one big literature review on food insecurity in island nations. I hope that this will create (or at least guide/help to create) resources on the issue with my own inferences embedded into them that will eventually work towards solving food insecurity and ultimately better our world.

As someone with Indian Gujarati roots, I've grown up hearing stories about the importance of community, generosity, and helping others whenever you can. Those values have always stuck with me, which is why I wanted to get involved in the first place.

Right now, many families in the Pacific are facing the effects of climate change, making it harder to grow enough food to feed their children. The money raised will help provide seeds, tools, and training so families can grow sustainable crops and build a more secure future.

Thank you so much for your support! 💙🌏🙏

TO ALL DONATORS!

Monday 22nd Jun
Thank you all for supporting my fundraiser for the 40-hour challenge from World Vision to help fund the Solomon Islands. Although I have not hit my goal of 14,000 words (yet) within the 40-hour time set by World Vision for the challenge, I'm going to make sure I complete this literature review even though the challenge has ended! I'm soooooo close everyone!

Thank you so much for donating and supporting!

HARD AT WORK!

Sunday 21st Jun
From exploring all the studies that are out there and carefully crafting my literature review, I've learned a lot about how climate change has made it much worse for the Solomon Islands to have good access to food. Let's fundraise to make it better for them!

MOMENTUM + THOUGHTS!

Saturday 20th Jun
I've nearly finished answering my first question for the literature review, and as I've been writing and researching for my paper, I realise more and more how much entities like the Solomon Islands need our help and our fundraising. All these factors that came into play restricted the ability of these states to develop and prosper, and there's nothing that they could do about it due to the factors being engraved into the nature of the land itself. That's exactly why the Solomon Islands needs our help, and why I'm so proud to be running a fundraiser for them!
