Title is fitting, both in the sense I was out for around 12 hours, but also because I'm quite late in writing this concluding post.
I got back around 9pm on Saturday night, after a long day of fighting wind, rain, hills, and the limits of my legs, as I could barely pedal hard enough to keep going towards the end.
