World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

Hi! My name is Kiaan. I am a 12 year old boy who currently attends Remuera Intermediate School. This year as part of my 40 hour challenge I will be raising funds for the families in the Solomon Islands through movement. To be more specific I will complete 40km of Biking/Walking/Running/Jogging within my 40 hours.

In the Solomon Islands there are very harsh weather events such as torrential downpour and flooding. This has a detrimental impact on the islands considering 80% of the population relies on agriculture. I'm raising funds so families in Solomon Islands can get the seeds, tools and skills they need to grow crops to feed their children in a ever-changing climate. 

This kaupapa (Topic)  matters because in the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kids are living in severe food poverty. Together, rangatahi (The younger generation, us) in Aotearoa (New Zealand)  can help change that.
