Kia ora, I’m taking on the 40 Hour Challenge this year by running 60km throughout 40 hours to raise awareness and funds for children and communities in the Solomon Islands.

For me, this challenge is about pushing myself outside my comfort zone and using something I enjoy to make a difference for people facing challenges far greater than the long run. Over the 40 hours, I’ll be completing the 60km while balancing my normal commitments, including training, a football game, work, and everyday life. It will test me both physically and mentally, but it’s nothing compared to the daily struggles many families face when it comes to accessing nutritious food and dealing with the impacts of climate change.

Every donation, big or small, will help support projects in the Solomon Islands, including planting mangroves to protect communities from rising sea levels and extreme weather, teaching climate-resilient farming skills, and growing vegetable gardens to improve food security.
