World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

I am doing the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge to provide kids with food for today, and a future for tomorrow. I will be giving up scrolling on social media and giving up eating  processed foods for 40 hours.

In the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kids is living in severe food poverty. If we work together, we can change that. I'm raising funds to help families farm crops so that they can feed their children in a changing climate.

Please donate now to help kids in the Pacific get enough food to grow up healthy and strong!

My Updates

Only 2 hours left!

Sunday 21st Jun
Just about to make a smoothie which will be my last meal during the 40 hour challenge! This has been such a fun experience and definitely opened my eyes to how much I love crisps 🙈 (for giving up processed foods) and how often and easy it is to open social media and scroll (for giving up scrolling). I have really enjoyed this experience and will definitely be doing it next year again.

Lunch!

Saturday 20th Jun
Went for lunch at the local Howick Wholefoods cafe, yummy açai bowl!!

No beans on toast for me this morning!

Saturday 20th Jun
I usually always have beans on toast haha, quite happy about the change actually 🤗

No more distractions from reading!

Friday 19th Jun
It’s easy these days for anyone (especially teens) to not read very often due to social media and feeling the need to ‘scroll’ and see what’s going on - I know I fall victim to this quite often. Although I still read a decent amount in day to day life, I know in these next 40 hours I will be getting much more reading time in! No distractions 🤗
