World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
This year for the 40hr Challenge the Motueka High School Senior Adventure Racing Team are attempting to cross 4 ranges in 40hr, covering approximately 70km and 4000m of elevation gain. This will kick off our training for the Hillary Challenge held in October.
With rain and snow forecast for this weekend we have come up with an option B (in case the weather gets worse or doesn’t clear). This will involve Biking from the Pokororo swing bridge to the Wangapeka end of the Leslie Karamea, walking the Leslie Karamea back to Flora Saddle and biking back to where we started. All up it would be around 60km of biking and 90km of walking in 40hr.
We're raising funds so families in Solomon Islands can get the seeds, tools and skills they need to grow crops to feed their children in a changing climate.
This kaupapa matters because in the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kids are living in severe food poverty. Together, rangatahi in Aotearoa can help change that.
