Micaiah Peiris - World Vision 40 Hour Challenge - Please Donate To Give The Solomon Islands Food For Today, And A Future For Tomorrow!

My name is Micaiah, and I’m doing the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge to provide kids with food for today, and a future for tomorrow.

I'm passionate about helping others have a better life, and by doing this 40 Hour Challenge, I can help many people in need.

This year, World Vision is raising money for the Solomon Islands. In the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kids is living in severe food poverty. Together, we can change that. I'm raising funds to help families farm climate-smart crops and plant mangroves so they can feed their children in a changing climate.

I will be doing 40 hours no carbohydrates AND devices. 40 hours no carbohydrates symbolises the life that many people in the Solomon Islanders have, with very limited food choice, whereas no devices for 40 hours raises awareness about how MANY people don't have devices, and how we are lucky to have them!

In the Solomon Islands, the sea is rising fast, destroying crops. People keep having to replant their crops, time after time after time. This means that the food is scarce, so we need to raise money so that they are able to buy the resources that they need to farm and get food!
