World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

Offline for a short time, impact for a lifetime!


Hey I'm Penelope and this weekend I'm challenging myself to do 40  15 - minute music practices, a total of 10 hours. It will be a big challenge but to raise money for people in the Pacific and hopefully improve a lot I'm sure it will be worth it!!


I'm raising funds so families in Solomon Islands can get the seeds, tools and skills they need to grow crops to feed their children in a changing climate.
 
This kaupapa matters because in the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kids are living in severe food poverty. Together, rangatahi in Aotearoa can help change that.

Sunday 21st Jun
Gosh it was a weekend!!! I finished up at 8:45pm, with 1 hour and 15 minutes to spare. I did a total of 1.5h of cello, 2.5 of clarinet, and 6 of piano and I don't think I could have done much more!! But I am so proud to have managed it and I have made a lot of progress.

Another big big thank you to everyone who sponsored me - I'm so so grateful and it gave me motivation to put in all the effort

The Challenge is nearly underway!!

Friday 19th Jun
One more sleep!! I am nearly ready to start this weekend's challenge. I'm beginning at 6:00am tomorrow and running through to 10:00pm Sunday. Through about 8 hours of other commitments, homework, eating and sleeping, 10 hours will take all my spare time. 

I've also decided that if by chance I don't finish these 40 practices over the weekend I'll keep going and ensure I finish.  Each day longer than Sunday that it takes to finish ill donate twice as much money than the day before e.g. Monday $2, Tuesday $4 Wednesday $8 etc.
