World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

40 Hour Extreme Winter Survival

For our 40 Hour Challenge, we’re plunging headfirst into the unforgiving wilds of the Coromandel in the dead of winter, completely off-track, completely out of site. For 40 brutal hours, we’ll rely solely on our own skills—catching our own food and cooking it over a campfire we build ourselves. We’ll construct shelter from the raw forest around us, with nothing but sticks and ferns to protect us from the cold that can drop below 5°C at night.

Every moment will test us. One mistake means hunger, exposure, and exhaustion. This is no easy challenge—it’s a fight for survival, echoing the harsh realities faced by children in the Pacific, where 1 in 6 live with severe food poverty. Families there endure the devastation of rising tides wiping out their crops, leaving them vulnerable and hungry.

We’re taking on this extreme challenge to raise funds to help these families grow climate-smart crops and plant mangroves, securing food and hope for their children’s future.

This isn’t just a challenge. It’s a commitment to real hardship for a real cause. Please support us—and help give Pacific kids the chance to thrive.

40 hours. No shortcuts. Challenge accepted.
