I am cutting myself off from my phone, TV, games, YouTube, social media and all streaming devices for 40 hours. I know this might be tough but this is really a small sacrifice for the struggles some Pacific families face on a day-to-day basis.
The money is being raised to enable some of the families in the Solomon Islands to have access to the seeds, tools and skills required to grow their food more reliably in a changing climate. Did you know 1 in 6 children in the Pacific region are living in extreme food poverty - that means they do not have consistent access to nutritious food required for growth and development.
Climate change is making it harder for people to grow their own crops and feed themselves and their families. By donating to this fundraiser, you will provide the practical, long-term solutions needed for food security.
