Central Southland College’s WV40HC Fundraising Goal Surpassed!

Big news! Central Southland College’s WV40HC fundraising campaign has not only reached our target of $2,500 - we've smashed it! Thanks to all the amazing students, families, and friends who have gotten behind this cause. Together, we’ve gone above and beyond.
So, where’s all this money going? The funds raised will be heading to the Solomon Islands, where climate change is having a major impact on local communities and in particular, children. The money will help plant climate-smart crops, plant mangrove forests, and support other vital projects to give people there a more secure food source for the future.
A huge shout-out to everyone who got involved, whether you were part of the 40 Hour Challenge, donated, or helped spread the word. Your support means the world, and this is just the beginning! Let’s keep the momentum going as we work together to make a positive impact on the Solomon Islands.
Thanks again, Central Southland College whānau! You’ve made a real difference! 🧡

🔥 Te Oneone’s on Fire – Can the Other Houses Catch Up?

Our school’s house fundraising effort is in full swing, and we’re so proud of the amazing contributions so far! A huge shoutout to Te Oneone, currently leading with an impressive $463 raised! Te Awa follows with a strong $231, while Te Ngahere and Te Ra have raised $45 and $31 respectively. Let’s rally behind Te Maunga, who are yet to get on the board—every dollar counts!
Thank you all for your support, let’s keep the momentum going and see which house will come out on top! 💪🏽❤️

How is CSC spending the 40 Hours?

🌿 Te Ngahere Branches Out on Top!

With just under a month to go in the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge, one house is already reaching skyward — and that’s Te Ngahere, leading the way with $45 raised so far! 🌳
Not far behind is Te Awa, flowing in at $30, and Te Ra, shining with $26. It’s a slow and steady start — and that’s totally okay! This fundraiser isn’t about big numbers right away; it’s about doing what we can, together, to support communities in need.
A special shout-out to those in Te Ngahere who’ve already stepped up — your efforts are planting the seeds of real change. 💚
As for Te Maunga and Te Oneone... we see you 👀. Currently sitting at a peaceful $0, but hey — even the tallest peaks and strongest soils start with small steps. Your moment is coming.
Whether you're donating, fundraising, or simply spreading the word, every bit helps. And remember: not everyone is in a position to give financially — and that’s okay. Supporting each other, getting involved in creative ways, and standing in solidarity all matter too.
Let’s keep the spirit growing, whānau. The challenge continues, and there’s still plenty of time for every house to rise. 🌱
