World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
I've been doing the World Vision 40 hour challenge for a few years now, but have always found it awkward asking people to donate money even though it is for a good cause. This is especially since not everyone understands the connection between spending 40 hours offline and raising money for charity, so this year I decided to take a different approach.
Instead of asking people to donate to me for completing a challenge, I turned my challenge into something that collects donations. Over the course of about 5 days my mum and I spent over 40 hours cooking, packaging and selling food to people in our community, waking up as early as 7am and staying up as late as 12pm, this way it was much less awkward asking people to make a donation as we just had to ask them if they wanted some tasty food and all of our profit went towards World Vision. As well as this, I was able to raise more money than I ever have before.
Thank you to all my friends and family who bought food and donated money, it's all going towards World Vision which will help bring food to families living in food poverty. Your donations are much appreciated!!!
