World Vision 40 Hour Challenge
Hey! I'm Nathaniel, and this year I'm fundraising for the World Vision 40 Hour Challenge. Over the last few years, I've ran 40km in 40 hours and even gone 40 hours without eating. But this time, I'm not alone, and along with a few other ACG Students, we're going to go 40 hours with no technology. That means no social media, no connection via texting, and no entertainment on screens.
You might be wondering why we're doing this, and the answer to that is to support children in the Solomon Islands. Children like Praynia, who lives in a small coastal town that has been devastated by rising sea levels and cyclones. As a result, crops have been destroyed, gardens flooded, and fish have been forced further out to sea. This means that food -- a basic necessity that we take for granted -- is extremely hard to come by.
However, with your support, we can change this. For just $30, we can provide a mother with life-changing nutritional education, and for under $100, we can provide a family with crops that can survive the changing conditions and tools to help them grow. So let's get out there and unplug to reconnect.
