World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

This year is my third year doing the 40 hour challenge and this year is probably my hardest challenge yet (at least for me). I'm going to do 40 hours without any devices, meaning no communication, entertainment, or even online resources for studies for 40 hours. Thankfully, this time I'm not alone, and along with some of my friends, we're hoping to make a real difference.


You may be wondering why I'm doing this, and the answer is to raise money for people in the Solomon islands. people like Praynia are struggling for food because of rising seas destroying their gardens, making fish harder to catch, and stopping crops from growing. when a cyclone hit, it became even worse. so now, it's up to us to help support them, giving them new tools and crops so they can rebuild and grow.

So spread the word, donate if you can, and support this fundraiser so that the children in the Solomon Islands can not only survive, but thrive.

40 Hours Complete!!

Sunday 21st Jun
Ive officially completed the 40 hours, it was so good to get off screens and spend some more time with family, Im looking to turn off screens more on weekends now. Throughout the weekend I went on a couple 10k walks with my family, played some games, and read a lot (not to mention I actually got a good night's sleep!) So all in all a great change. A massive thank you to everyone who supported me, the $1000 goal is looking likely!

Thanks so much for all the support everyone, we're now only a week away from the challenge and we're halfway to the goal! I massively appreciate everyone who's donated, together we've managed to transform the lives of 5 families forever.

Tuesday 26th May
Thanks so much to for all the generous support everyone, weve already reached $300 which is so amazing!! Im hoping to get my youth group to all bring a gold coin to youth which could double our total of it happens so that 1k is looking very possible!!!

First Fundraising Complete

Tuesday 19th May
After going around the neighbourhood I managed to raise $50 in cash in around an hour which is great! I also handed out some fliers for people to donate online if they wanted to so that total could still grow. Special thanks to Claire who donated $53 online, meaning that so far the total is over $100 raised! Hopefully we can keep this momentum going.
