World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

40 hours WHAT!

Offline and silent for a short time, impact for a lifetime!
This year, I am taking on a double challenge. Not only am I going completely offline, but I am also going completely silent for 40 hours.
I am choosing to lose my voice for this weekend to stand in solidarity with those who face daily communication barriers, while raising vital funds so families in the Solomon Islands  can get the seeds, tools, and skills they need to grow crops to feed their children in a changing climate
This kaupapa matters because in the Pacific region, 1 in 6 kidsare living in severe food poverty. Climate change is destroying local crops, leaving families struggling to put food on the table. Together, rangatahi in Aotearoa can help change that.

Hillo,
My name is Riley, and I’ve signed up for the 40 Hour Challenge to help kids around the world. This is because some probably most have no access to food, water, or Wi-Fi. The ones who can't speak really tug at my heartstrings.
So, I am going to go without Wi-Fi or speaking for 40 hours straight.
But here is a big issue for me: my favourite thing to do is to talk and use Wi-Fi when I need to, so I might struggle a bit. However, I have to remember that I'm doing this for kids around the world who have never had a chance to speak or use the internet.
Also, I will be using a camera that has no access to Wi-Fi so you can see what I'm up to during the 40 hours. I know it's hard to just give your money away to someone you have never seen before, so I will post videos of myself doing this challenge to prove that I did it.
