World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

Teacher Splash Fundraiser

The Medicine and Health club + SVA club organised and held a Splash Fundraiser at lunchtime today!

Thank you to all our teachers who participated in this. Our students had tons of fun throwing sponges, water balloons, water buckets and hosing their teachers for 20 seconds!

Non uniform Blue Day - Gold Coin Donation Fundrasier

Today, our students wore blue - a unifying colour for our school - to show our solidarity with those in the Solomon Islands.

Students who wore blue donated a gold coin each towards the 40 Hour Challenge Fundraiser!

Year 13 vs Teachers Netball Game + Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser

Yesterday our Year 13's and Teachers played a charity game of Netball while our Medicine and Health Club members assisted prefects in running the sausage sizzle!

Unfortunately our teachers won! 😜😞 But the Year 13's fought fiercely. This was a lovely and thrilling match that our students enjoyed watching with their hot dogs!

Thank you to Mr. Marenzi for setting up and our prefects for running the BBQ, as well as our sports prefects for coordinating the netball game!

World Vision 40 Hour Challenge

The Whitby Collegiate Medicine and Health Club is proud to be leading our 2026 World Vision 40 Hour Famine campaign.

This year, we are challenging our school community to come together to raise funds and awareness for the people of the Solomon Islands who face barriers to food security, clean water, education, healthcare, and opportunity. Every dollar raised helps support World Vision's work in communities where children and families are experiencing the effects of poverty, conflict, and climate-related challenges.

To build awareness and encourage participation, we will be running a full 40 Hour Challenge Week from 15–19 June. Throughout the week, students can take part in daily activities, fundraising events, and educational challenges designed to highlight different global issues and inspire action.

Activities include:
• Year 13 vs Teachers Netball and Sausage Sizzle
• Blue Day and Photo Booth Fundraiser
• Blue Splash Teacher Dunk Fundraiser
• Messages of Hope for Praynia

The week will conclude with our school-wide 40 Hour Challenge Day, where participating students will complete their chosen challenge and the wider school community will take part in a digital-free day to reflect on the realities faced by many young people around the world.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps make a difference. By supporting our campaign, you are helping provide hope, opportunity, and practical support to communities that need it most.

Thank you for supporting the Whitby Collegiate Medicine and Health Club and helping us make a positive impact through the 40 Hour Famine.
